Top 5 colour match combinations for modest outfits
1. Neutral colour match
Neutral colours are things like: lighter brown, chocolate brown, Black, grey, cream, white, tan, taupe, ivory or camel. To be honest with you it’s quite endless and it’s how you see it. Let’s take for example the colour taupe, if you type into google ‘taupe’ there will be a dozen shades of that. Quite cool right?

Before you go shopping have a neutral tone in your mind but don’t just be limited to that one because pretty much all neutrals go together. Whether you’re feeling a dress or some pants(wide-leg, cargo, Jeans) ensure you choose your outfit based on neutrals.
An example could be an all-black and white outfit, I mean that is so effortless and doesn’t much time or brainpower sis.
Just play around with things in your shopping cart and try imagining the outfit whilst putting it together.
2. Bright colour and dark colour match
I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “opposites attract” aside from trying to find our soulmates this fits really well with this colour combination. For your dark colour black is probably the best. You can literally colour-match anything with black.
For example, choosing an outfit that is black and red, I know what you’re thinking red it’s a bit out there. Listen to me girl, out here we create the rules so get uncomfortable and try it trust me or you’re gonna love it. Maybe add a classy red lip to your look.

The key here is to add that pop of colour when you colour-match whether that’s making your hijab the centrepiece or your pants or a top or coat. The moral of the story: it’s very appealing to the eye and you can’t miss it!

3. All Black colour match
An all-black colour combination has to have its own category because we all know black never fails to impress. When you shop around for an outfit whatever you choose picking it in black is super easy because it’s always available. Most of us hijabis know that black hijab is our go-to on any occasion whether that’s for a trip down to Tesco or a fancy restaurant.

I’ve not added accessories with this but feel free to add accessories that may be gold to your all-black modest outfit, it gives that classy yet sleek look. If you’re a non- hijabi hey just throw on an all-black outfit with a sleek low bun. ta-dah! you’re good to go!
4. All-White colour match
Now there’s the all-white category, I know it seems a bit daunting when I first put on my first white hijab I was nervous I thought maybe it won’t look good on brown skin but let me tell you that’s far from the truth. White actually enhances darker skin tones but also looks good on lighter skin tones. Moral of the story: white is for everyone.

5. Monochrome colour match
Don’t get put off by the fancy term all ‘monochrome’ means is one colour. That colour could be pretty much anything from our neutrals to warm or cool tones. So, create a modest outfit that is one colour however, you can have more flexibility; one colour but many different shades.
